Some Christians prone to look on the dark side of everything.

They tend to dwell on what they have gone through than cast their eyes upon what the Lord has done for them.

If you will to ask some Christians about their christian walk.  They

will relate to you their continual conflicts, their deep afflictions,

their adversities.  They never talk about the mercy and help which God has vouchsafed them.

However, a healthy Christian will joyously give thanks and honor to the Lord at all times.  He/she will tell you that the Lord drew him/her up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog and set his/her feet upon a rock, making his/her steps secure. He put a new song in his/her mouth, a song of praise unto our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord. The Lord hath done great things for him/her.

We must not forget that even if we endure trials, we are delivered out of them.  We have an all-sufficient Savior who can give us grace to overcome our bad habits and deliver us from their dominion.  Thanks to our Almighty God!

We must not let our griefs to mar the melody of our praise, for the Lord had done great things for us.

Pray that God the Holy Spirit would do a powerful and wonderful work in us through his mighty power, filling us with the fullness of God.

We must not neglect our prayer life and devotion time with the Lord.

Do not forsake our assembling together.  All ordinances must

not be slighted also.

Don’t look to the bigness of your need, but look to the bigness of your God!

Wrong thoughts come from Satan and from the world system. The System of world is based on greed, pride, arrogance, selfishness, lust, jealousy and envy. The world-system opposes God and His wisdom.

“For all that is in the world— the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world ” (I John 2:16)

Since we live in the world, we are being exposed to the thoughts pattern, ideas, opinions, and values of the world. These are all wrong thoughts and wrong mind sets because they come from Satan’s world-system.

If we accept the wisdom of the world, it will lead us to wrong thoughts, wrong actions and wrong feelings.

For Christians, there is another life after this life, an eternal life. Whatever we do in this life affects our eternal destiny.

We are accountable to God for whatever we do in this life. One day all of us must stand before God to be judged for what we had done in this life – life in this world. The wisdom of the world overlooks the fact that there is a terrible price to be paid for the sin that we commit in this life, both in this life and in the life to come

“It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” (Hebrews 9:27)

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever. “Lo, I am with you always ” He says.

Christ is the One who is forever the same, and who is forever with us.

Take heed! Do not set your affections upon rusting, moth-eaten,

decaying treasures, but set your heart upon Christ who abides for ever

with you and is faithful to you.

Do not build your house upon the moving quicksand of this deceitful world, but build your house and found your hopes upon this rock (Christ) only, which even though torrential rain and roaring floods may come, this rock(Christ) shall stand immovably secure.

Put your all and all in Christ only! Set all your affections on Him only! trust in his efficacious blood which was shed for you, all your joy is in his presence which can make you laugh even at times of loss, and can also defy destruction also.

Set your heart on Christ who will never leave you, trust yourself completely on him because he will go with you through the black and surging current of death’s stream, he will land you safely on the shore in the heaven and make you sit with Him in the heavenly places forever and ever!

You can tell your secrets to this true friend of yours who stick closer to you than your own brother. He will never leave you and He will never let you leave him also.

Christians are supposed to be simple and plain in their habits and behavior. It is all about our manner, our speech, our dress, our behavior. The very soul of our beauty should be simplicity.

Christians should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger. Always be kind-hearted, tender hearted and seeking to win others over by the gentleness of our words and actions. Christians should not use harsh words! They must have a heart of compassion towards those who need their words of encouragement.

The gospel is the message of the God of love to a depraved, lost and fallen world. Christ’s last command to his disciples was, “Love one another.”

The gospel of Christ is holy. It never excuses sin but it pardons sins – only through atonement only. The way that we speak, think and act must always be in line with the word of God.

As God’s people, we are all debtors to him. We have broke his commandments, we are debtors to his justice, and we owe him a vast amount which we are not able to pay.

But as a Christian, it can be said that we do not owe God’s justice anything, for Christ has paid the debt that his people owed, for this reason believers of Christ owe the more to love Him.

Christians are a debtor to God’s grace and forgiving mercy; but we are not debtor to His justice, for He will never accuse us of a debt already paid.

Christ said, “It is finished!” and by that he meant, that whatever his people owed was already wiped away for ever from the book of remembrance. Christ has satisfied the divine justice, the account is settled, the handwriting is already nailed to the cross; the receipt is already given, and we are debtors to God’s justice no longer.

But then, what a debtor we are to His divine sovereignty! How much we owe to His disinterested love, for He gave us his own Son that He might die for us. Consider how much we owe to His forgiving grace and love!

Consider what we owe to his power, how He has raised us from our death in sin; how He has preserved our spiritual life; how He has kept us from falling; and how, though a thousand enemies have beset our path, we have been able to hold on our way. What a marvelous love He has showered upon us !

Though we have changed a thousand times but Christ has never changed once.

So, we have to obey him with all our body, and soul, and strength.
